You
will probably ask yourself why
you should select Project Navigator
over other environmental project
management and consulting firms.
Our particular strengths are
in formulating, designing, then
negotiating, solutions for environmental
challenges that save money,
reduce "risk" and
are truly protective of human
health and the environment.
Our project professionals possess
superior qualifications and
decades of experience. We commit
to assigning the top professionals
in our firm to work in conjunction
with the client. As was mentioned
under Ethics,
we are not in competition with
most environmental engineering
and commodity service companies.
We act as project representatives
for our clients, the project
owners, and help them efficiently
manage resources. Furthermore,
our work culture is unique,
innovative and proves most efficient,
as justified below.
USE
OF A HYPOTHESIS-DRIVEN PROBLEM
SOLVING APPROACH
Project Navigator, Ltd. uses a
hypothesis-driven approach to
problem solving where we quickly
manage and interpret the limited
amount of data available at the
start of the project to propose
an early project hypothesis and
solution(s). We extensively use
our web-based information management
tools for communication with the
clients. Data analysis and visualization
techniques are instrumental in
generating our hypotheses. These
solution hypotheses are validated
or modified through the accumulation
of more information as the project
proceeds. Having an early hypothesis
helps guide future efforts in
reduction of data gaps. The hypothesis
is used by our Project Manager(s)
as vehicle to solicit a range
of input from many professional
disciplines and project stakeholders,
without requiring the individual(s)
to be elevated on the project's
learning curve.
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
Project Navigator, Ltd. values
knowledge and with its organized
use, difficult problems can be
solved more efficiently. Knowledge
does not include just data, but
also the experience and intuition
of our staff, and our clients.
Our use and management of knowledge
involves extensive use of pattern
recognition, and benchmarking
the current project challenge
against similar projects that
our company has worked on in the
past.
Inherent in our knowledge management
process is the use of techniques
for data storage, analysis,
retrieval, and management. These
techniques include: our proprietary
web-based project management
tool (www.projectoolbox.com),
and information visualisation
and analysis tools such as Geographical
Information Systems (GIS) and
Environmental Visualisation
Systems (EVS). |
